The cat on the rat, the rat on the rope, the rope on the butcher, the butcher on the ox, the ox on the water, the water on the fire, the fire on the birch, the birch on the boy, the boy to school.
I just found out that I know that by heart. Nice pastime for late nights, don't you think?
I was telling M that I wasn't sleepy, and he said something about Mips that made me run through those words. I learnt them from a booklet for children when I was four, and haven't thought about them since then. Edit: Ok, I probably have, I vaguely remember practising reading with it, but it's such a ridiculous little story.
I suppose I should pour myself a glass of juice, or water and sit down with a book for an hour, that usually helps.
